THE ART OF SELF ARCHITECTURE

THE ART OF SELF ARCHITECTURE

THE MISSION OF LIFE

Have you ever thought to yourself: "I'm not where I want to be in my life right now"

For a large part of my life, this thought would resurface frequently.

It was like a lingering echo in the chamber of my mind.

No matter how much I tried to hide it with mindless behaviour, alcohol, women, drugs, porn, TV, it was always there in the background.

Deep down, I knew I wasn't living up to my potential.

I knew I was hiding from becoming the man I was capable of. The gravity and downward pressure of conforming to the group is challenging to overcome.

But know that if you deliberately plan on being less than you're capable of becoming, then you will have to live with that feeling of dissatisfaction for the rest of your life.

It was only when I finally accepted life's call to become more, the call to self-mastery, that the echo started to fade away.

You see, we all have a mission in life.

Everyone's mission starts and ends the same with birth and death. But the purpose isn't to die, it's to live at your highest potential whilst you're alive.

This is the mission of life.

Your journey from who you once were, to becoming the future version of yourself that has everything you want is the true adventure.

The measure of your success lies in how deep you delve into your own growth. Like a building, the higher you want to develop externally, the deeper you must build your internal foundations.

Life's challenges often emerge from within ourselves—the doubts, fears, and insecurities. The journey we're embarking on is one of conquering these internal obstacles.

This isn't about controlling your impulses; it's about understanding and transcending them. By resolving inner conflicts, you empower yourself to unearth your true capabilities. This is the road to not only self-mastery but freedom.

ARE YOU ON THE RIGHT TRACK?

So, let's ask the question: Is your current path shaping you into someone you're proud to be?

Are you the hero or the coward?

The outlaw or the victim of your story?

The process that decides your answer lies within you. Your thoughts, actions, and habits are the tools that construct your identity and determine your life's direction.

Remember, who you become is ultimately down to you. And if you want to design a hero's journey, you must realise this...no one is coming to save you.

If you're a loser and you hate your life, you will stay a loser until you take responsibility and save yourself.

You will remain a coward until you take that leap of faith into the unknown to become the anti-hero of your story.

And you will die a failure because you didn't act on that deep longing for something more.

That sense that there was untapped potential within that will never be realised.

THE ART OF SELF-ARCHITECTURE

Your story doesn't have to end in failure.

As I did, you can choose to be in the minority who believe change is possible. But it starts with envisioning a better you and having the will to bring that vision to life.

At the end of the day, we're all products of our thoughts. This is the foundation of everything we create, meaning your mind is the architect of your reality.

If you want to realise your potential, you have to keep redesigning yourself at every level of life you master.

The person you'll need to become to get physically fit won't necessarily serve you in becoming financially free.

I use this example because I'm living this right now. I've had to restructure my belief systems to allow me to pursue my financial aspirations.

It's about breaking down limiting thoughts and replacing them with empowering ones that take you where you want to end up.

Here's how I reconstructed my thoughts around money.

Limiting Beliefs

  1. "Rich people are greedy and only care about themselves."
  2. "Money corrupts people's morals and values."
  3. "Rich people are not happy; they're stressed and miserable."

Empowering Beliefs

  1. "Rich people accumulate wealth to support their family, friends & causes they care about."
  2. "Money amplifies who you already are; if you're a man of integrity you will use your money to impact the world positively."
  3. "Money only solves external problems, your happiness is an internal problem. It isn't money that negatively impacts your mental health, it's your ability to regulate your emotions."

These simple reframes removed the beliefs that were holding me back. I am now doing the things that will lead to financial freedom because I've empowered myself to do so through my thinking.

All thought stems from doubt. By questioning your thoughts, asking yourself why you believe what you believe, you start thinking. Thinking broadens your perspective and allows you to see different answers.

Different answers lead to different results and the more you practice reframing your thoughts to be more productive, the more you will realise it doesn't matter what you believe as long as it moves you towards your goals.

Your thoughts dictate your actions, your actions become your habits, and your habits shape your identity.

Your life is a direct result of who you become so your identity is everything.

I call this process self-architecture. Master this process and you will reach your highest potential.

YOU ARE BEING DESIGNED

All the information you consume is designing who you are and how you see the world.

If you don't design yourself, someone else will. And if you let someone else do it, you will end up like the 95% who never challenge their social conditioning to rise above mediocrity.

"The opposite of courage in our society is not cowardice … it is conformity."

That's the reason so many fail. In conformity, people act like the majority who settle for a life they truly don't want to live.

Successful people have clear goals that drive them forward, while those who struggle believe their lives are governed by "circumstances beyond their control."

The majority end up in places they don't want to be because they're living aimlessly, letting life happen to them.

But here's the key: Energy flows where attention goes. You become what you think about. If you focus on a concrete and meaningful goal, you'll reach it.

You'll naturally become more aware of the information you need and start DOING what's necessary to get what you want.

This is how the brain works, it filter's out information that's not relevant to it to be as efficient as possible.

The reverse is also true. Having a goal top of mind, tells your brain what to focus on.

No goal leads to lack of direction.

Your focus is scattered leaving your mind open to being filled with confusion and fear promoted by mainstream media, creating a life of frustration and anxiety common in today's society.

DESIGNING YOUR LIFE

You have the power to construct your reality. It's easy to underestimate the power within you while overestimating external influences.

The truth is, everything truly valuable in life is free- your thoughts, dreams, ambitions and your relationships.

Everything external can be brought, and what can be brought is easily replaceable.

Your mind is a powerful force capable of achieving whatever you can conceive. Yet, most settle for the ordinary, content in the comfort zone.

You have the chance to aim higher, to forge your future deliberately.

Through the art of self-architecture you can visualise your ideal life and then blueprint the steps to get there.

It's about reaching for success by design, not by chance. This isn't any law of attraction nonsense, you have to really want it.

Like really bad. Like your life depends on it, because it does. You either win or you lose.

Nothing is given to you in this life.

Exceptional people aren't born they're made.

You must pay the price for success through hard work.

A death or glory mentality, you either get what you want or die trying.

This is what it takes.

This is the hero's journey. But on the other side of it, you will come out of it a anti-hero.

You will have tapped into a higher self and cease to be a regular person. You'll feel incredible.

CHOOSING A GOAL

The moment you choose a goal, you're already on the path to success. You're among the few who know where they're headed.

But, what should that goal be?

Well whatever you want, it can be anything as long as it's challenging.

A fulfilling first goal every man can aim for is to build a physique that they can be proud of.

Why?

Well, it's not just about the aesthetics or physical strength, though those are major benefits. Getting jacked forms the very foundation upon which a man of integrity is constructed.

But here's the thing: the path to becoming super strong isn't just about lifting weights; it's about forging your character.

As you progress deeper and deeper into your training, when you commit to the grind and endure the discomfort, you'll discover essential life lessons.

You'll learn discipline, resilience, and humility in ways that no other pursuit can quite replicate in this modern world.

Your journey to physical strength becomes a journey of self-mastery, teaching you not just how to lift heavy things and put them down again, but how to carry yourself through life's challenges without being phased.

Laying under a bar with over 100kg on it every week has a funny way of doing that to you.

And once you see that you can literally change your physical body, you'll have no excuse not to believe you can change yourself in any other way you need to in order to become the person you admire in every way imaginable.

Remember, thoughts, actions & habits, this is the process you need to master to design the person you want to be.

What ever your goal is, think about the person you need to become to be able to accomplish it.

Who has already achieved whatever it is you're trying to do?

How do they think, act and live on a daily basis?

That's who you need to become and this will take practice, so don't beat yourself up when you fall short. This is a long game.

Your journey always starts with your thoughts and ends with the person you're shaping yourself to become.

Your life is a blueprint, and you hold the pen. This is self-architecture, where you are the architect of your own hero's journey.
